Well from the great town of Gardendale and the porch of the antique auction I was at had a great cloudless view of it.  One of the other post described it pretty much sort of a rust orange with naked eye and a flat pumpkin orange with my telescope.  Yes I brought a telescope to the auction, they weren't selling any rocks, minerals, meteorites or artifacts so I was pretty much bored.  Wife would just look at me and roll her eyes.

Anyone watching the eclipse? Mostly cloudy here in the upstate of South Carolina but I can catch an occasional glimpse of it through breaks in the clouds.
