Michael Cottingham, Farmer and gang were selling the meteorite first as Oum Rokba, me and Dean Bessey sold lots of the meteorite under the name "NWA 400"....[snip]....they are the same meteorite in my opinion. So if it does get an NWA number, not that I am saying it should or shouldn't, it has already received one. That was the basis of my question - it seems like the name "Oum Rokba" has almost become somewhat of a catch-all. Definitely NOT referring to Mark or any of the folks he mentions above, but I suspect that a lot of anonymous, unclassified stuff has changed hands as "Oum Rokba", as most buyers tend to gravitate toward names rather than numbers when/if there's a choice, and most sellers know that. And for any sellers so inclined, "Oum Rokba" is essentially undefined (so far, anyway), at least enough that it easily lends itself to being indiscriminately used, without much danger of any contradiction.
