I also seem to recall a story with Vyatka - it used to be called something else, and a large percentage of the TKW was missing, and then it was discovered somewhere else with a different name.....one of those kind of stories. Anyone remember details? There's a word for people who answer their own questions, but....;-)
A quick look at the NHM Catalog database reveals that the synonym was Kaigorod, and:
A mass of 40-50 kg was reportedly found on the shore of the Vyatka river near the town Sovetsk, but the main mass was lost..... A 32kg piece of a larger stone was purchased by S. Vassiliev in Prague. The meteorite was reportedly found in the Kirov region of Russia, and is undoubtedly the missing main mass of Vyatka, an H4 chondrite, see Met. Bull. No. 77, Meteoritics_ 29*, 891-897 (1994) This material is widely distributed in collections outside Russia under the name Kaigorod, which will now be recognised as an unofficial synonym for Vyatka.
