Greetings,   I am building a web portal for people interested in meteorites and collecting. To make it clear: this isn’t my personal site, nor is it where I intend to sell meteorites. I am doing this serving the community and hoping to create a place where potential collectors can seek and find information.   The site will go live in January, so this is an advance warning and an invitation. Let me just tell you what I intend to do:   World of Meteorites is based on a CMS (content management system). This means that users of the site can add their own content and share it with the world. For you, it means that you could post a newsbit pointing to your ebay auctions or share an article about meteorites with others. I will add some other modules to this site, like a gallery for meteorites, a FAQ, forums, encyclopedias and so on. I will advertise the site on other sites and directories, and I hope it becomes rather popular. I have some experience with these things, I also run one of the largest roleplaying news sites on the internet.   Since I think it is essential to have some content on the site before going live, I invite you to start builing a links section now. Basically, I ask you to go there, register and add the link to your personal site to our directory. This will allow future users to reach your site from the portal.   Here’s a step by step description how to do that:   Go to http://www.worldofmeteorites.com Register as a user In the left menu, choose “Web links” Page Title: The name of your Homepage Page Url: just enter the url there Enter a short description of your page Enter your name and your email address (they won’t be shown to the users) Click on “Add this url” You are done.   I will the check the link and approve it – from now on you have a link to your site from the portal.   If you are interested in helping me adding content to the portal or if you have suggestions, please feel free to contact me.   Regards, Bernhard Rems IMCA #2121
