Four of the Spirit rovers critical scientific instruments sailed through initial checkout operations and a fifth "cube-scale" will be tested late this evening, officials said today. A 3D panorama shot by Spirit's low-resolution navigation cameras was unveiled today and a full-resolution, color mosaic showing the "cube-scale" immediately in front of the rover is visible in the downlink from Tuesday.
