Bah! Of all places, one would think that Wyoming would have a sheephole
valley, we have none! Predecessors chose not to honor sheep by naming geographic locations, or meteorites after them it appears.:-D  In the early 1980's we had over 5 million sheep grazing here. Today there are less than half a million.

Sheephole Valley sounds more Australian to me. Dave F.

Hey Dave, I think you Wyomingites could give the Aussies (for monopolizing the names) and Kiwis (for monopolizing the sheep) a run for their money.  Last time I went to Jackass Pass near the Gran Teton Mountains, the place was full o' sheep.  No Jackasses to be seen, and they even have a Jackass Springs for them, too - one would think Wyoming was full of Jackasses.  Anyways, better a Jackson Hole, Jackass Springs and Sheephole Valley than the other nomenclature.  I wouldn't want Fred to kick me out of the collector names' contest without even getting a chance to enter it...
Saludos, Doug
