According to a spokesman from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory
the Mars rover, which reached the surface successfully on 3rd January,
has not transmitted useful data for the last 12 hours.
As soon as they heard of the difficulty with Spirit the Beagle 2 team
sent a message to Steve Squires, Principal Investigator for the NASA
project, expressing every sympathy with their predicament, and hoping
they would soon be back in communication.
