Norton's second book on page 111, says "type 4 and 5 chondrules
frequently are not round but appear scalloped like a sea shell. In these
cases the chondrules have suffered a corrosive chemical alteration. Related
to the fibrous RB are chondrules with exocentric structure but with
relatively large blades of bronzite radiating from an eccentric nucleation
point. These are course enough to be seen with a hand magnifier or even the
naked eye."
I am planning on taking a NWA with a dark brown matrix very little metal
and white inclusions and black chondrules(?) some of which have the white
inclusion material swirled within them. This NWA also contains a chondrule
as described above with blades course enough to see with a hand magnifier.
Unfortunately, the paragraph quoted above is all "mumbo jumbo" to me!
Can anyone put it in laymen's terms for me? Also, what does that tell me
about my NWA?
