Hi Alex and List, You asked for more listees with their own asteroids; How abou comets? I independently co-discovered P/Comet 1978j = 1978XX Haneda-Campos, on September 1st 1978 with a 5" refractor, from Durban, South Africa. It was also independently discovered by the late japanese amateur astronomer T. Haneda, from Fukushima, Japan, on the same date. The comet's Period is just over 6 yrs. According to the new comet nomenclature, it is now known as comet D/1978 R1 Haneda-Campos.
