Hi Tom and all, While Nininger was certainly responsible for a number of Texas meteorites, Talking to the past curator of the Moning collection, quite an impressive number of Texas meteorites were found by Oscar Moning. He was the Nininger of Texas Meteorites so to speak.
A post on the list about Travis County (and a reference to the archives of Meteorite Magazine!) listed one of these most impressive finds.
