Tom,

I have lots of Dean's NWA869.  Much is mine and much is from a friend that
lent some huge samples (5kg and 2 kg sizes) for meteorite talks.  Also have
about 20 slices.

The pictures you show do not look like any of my 869.  Granted this
meteorite has a vary diverse matrix yours still look more type 3 than the
stuff I have.  Perhaps you were just lucky with the piece because, I
believe, some people have classified 869 as L3-L6 brecciated.  Your crust
also looks much blacker than any of my pieces.

Whatever you have it is very nice.  Congratulations!
