This is a woodcut of the meteor leonid shower of 1833

Actually this woodcut shows the 1799 shower and is loosely based upon observations by Andrew Ellicott Douglas from a ship off the Florida Keys.
I think I have a reference at home which gives a source for the image.

This image was published in _The Midnight Sky_ by Edwin Dunkin, published in London in 1870. Dunkin was chief assistant to
Astronomer Royal George Airy. _The Midnight Sky_ was among the
popular works Dunkin wrote about astronomy.
