Dear Dr. Perry: I thank you for your letter of January 18, confirming what you told me when you and Dr. H.H. Nininger were in my office on January 17, to the effect that you proposed to make a grant of $2000.00 to the University of Arizona to promote meteorite research and collection by Dr. Nininger, according to the terms that will be mutually agreed upon between Dr. Nininger and the University. I have a committee that has met to discuss this proposal, and I believe that I shall have a report from this committee today and an answer for Dr. Nininger as soon as he returns from Mexico.
