> Is anyone planning to observe the June 8 Transit of Venus? > Tracy Latimer
Hi Tracy and the rest, The Sun with Venus are projected on my ceiling at this moment, through my old 4.5" Newton. And it is a *very* attractive sight, much more attractive than the Mercury transit last year. Venus is actually quite big! There are only some minute sunspots currently, so Venus really jumps out. It is also visible with the naked eye (using a filter of course) as a small spot on the sun. "There's a little black spot on the sun today.... That's my soul up there......"
