Skies were clear (for a change) here in Ottawa, Canada. We (the Ottawa RASC) had a great view of the event.
One thing that struck me was that I could resolve the planet with my naked eye (with proper filtering of course!). I am impressed by the (large) relative size of Venus when viewed from earth.
