anytime there are massacres, where hundreds are killed, I would consider that place to be a dangerous place, and not willing to take my family there too often.

Algeria may not be the worst place in the world, and tourists seem to have no problems in Algiers, but leaving the city seems to be a little dangerous. Not exactly a nice tourist spot.
