Seems to me since you are so short on time, one email to Ted is more advantageous than playing email ping pong with Adam. Why not let the Scientist clear it up?

Adam, I suggest you contact Ted Bunch, he assigned me NWA 2620 for my
olivine diogenite.
I am leaving in 40 hours so I have no time to do it.
