Ron Baalke had posted in a message one time some research that showed that the sun striking asteroid and meteoroids caused some out gassing and might be a potential source, dynamic of perpetration to cause them to fall into the kirkwood gaps and later become Earth crossing objects.
So I would say that there is a change in temperature (however small) from sunlight. Perhaps the list archives has those messages.
