There's no date on the website, but the article itself refers to 'today' as being November 19, 2001. "The findings are contained in a report titled "Magnetite morphology and life on Mars," which is scheduled to be published TODAY (Nov. 19, 2001) in the Proceedings Of The National Academy Of Sciences." They probably just updated the advertisement on an old article on their website. The article content didn't change, but google looked at only the timestamp on the web page and mistakenly thought it was a new article.
