Thanks for sharing that with us. That certainly is the most impressive oriented meteorite Ive ever seen.
Just curious.............. is the meteorite still at the University of Texas ?

Elbert King took a series of official NASA photographs of the Rosebud meteorite, one of the finest oriented meteorites in collections. King also did a press release with the meteorite in 1963, while working at NASA, so I imagine the photographs he took, shown in the web page below, are from that time year.

Along with the photographs are the NASA photograph number. You should be able to get (free) copies of the photographs, upon request, c/o of the Public Relations Department at Johnson Space Center, if desired.
