Hi Dean and List, This material looks exactly like the silicated iron that has been showing up recently from Zagora. More of this iron meteorite has been coming out lately due to old strewnfields in Morocco being reworked because of the arrests on the Algerian border. I would try etching it and see if you get a coarse pattern. If it does, you can almost bet it came from Zagora. Zagora is a beautiful Silicated IAB Coarse Octahedrite, one of the first meteorites discovered in Morocco.
