Hello List,
I have a question re Lamont: According to the initial
report in Meteoritical Bulletin No. 81 (1997), a
single mass of 38.69 kg was found. Does anybody know
if more material of this mesosiderite was found
lateron?

Having been involved in the discovery of the Lamont
Meteorite. The weight reported is correct. Only one
mass was found. I have every reason to suspect that
it was transported to the location in which it was
found.
Possibly by Indians.
