I was hoping someone would bring this up because I didn't want to ask what may 
or may not be a
stupid question.  The large black area (and smaller ones elsewhere).  Is it 
likely to be areas of
shock melt with lots of the material not melting, or are they possibly 
carbonaceous xenoliths?
