Messier A is two circular craters (the "younger" one sits on and thus hides part of the "older" crater). This double crater measures 11 x 13 km and this is the one in the NASA picture that displays these two straight, narrow rays up to a distance of 120 km! Look for it in Mare Fecundidatis 3-4 days after the Moon is new or 3-4 days after full moon because then this interesting feature is close to the terminator (No, not Arnold from Austria ;-) and can thus be seen at its best!
