Seriously, the ball does experience a coriolis force, but it is
vanishingly small compared to the forces it experiences from thousands
of individual grass blades. The effect on the ball in the air on a long
shot is probably measurable, but certainly smaller than the degree of
control even the best golfer can achieve.

Hi all,
I was watching golf on TV today. A commercial came on that portrayed
Tiger Woods missing a putt. He complained, in the commercial, that he
forgot to consider the rotation of the planet when he made that shot.
I wonder if anything so miniscule as a golf shot could be affected by
planetary motion.
