This was a remarkable event, similar in many respects to Peekskill. Be sure to check out the Guffey School video in the link above- it clearly shows the initial meteor breaking up into a string of individual meteors that slowly pull apart. I've never seen anything like it. Given the very shallow entry and low speed (~17 km/s) this is a good candidate for producing meteorites. The fragmentation zone extends from about Alamosa to Colorado Springs!
