Hi All,
I am investigating the purchase of a saw for cutting
meteorites. I have done some web searching, but the
prices are much higher than I expected.
This saw should have a 2" max depth of cut, should
give good enough surface finish to avoid the need for
a large amount of lapping to remove the saw marks.
Almost 100% of my cutting will be on stone meteorites,
I do not anticipate cutting iron meteorites. I would
like to keep the cost below about $400. I don't mind a
used saw, but it would have to be in good usable
condition.
I have seen the discussions of which diamond blades to
use, but not which saw to buy.
