Mike, They'd be TINY, one millimeter or less with a rare 2-3 millimeter one once in a while. You couldn't really search for them visually unless they had an odd color (which happens). Take some specimen jars with you, scoop up a small amount of powder, ejecta, without digging into the ground dirt, all from one spot, all in one scoop, seal it, label it with the location relative to the crater, like "ejecta blanket, 5 meters out" and bring'em back, ten or more from near and far and all sides. Better still, have a helper to do it. Why do profs have grad students, sorcerers and journeymen have apprentices? Somebody's got to do the scut work! If no scientist wants to work them up, put'em on eBay: "Carancas Ejecta Blanket Sample, Meteorite Dust and Particles, 50 grams."
