Hi All,
I have read several posts in the past about hints on cleaning caliche
off meteorites but have never seen any definite tried and tested
methods. I have some NWA meteorites which obviously have some great
fusion crust features/ flight markings in between the caliche hidden
areas and it looks like they still exist under the caliche. Is there
anybody out there who has cleaned this off successfully whilst preseving
the delicate textures in the glassy crust and is willing to share their
trade secrets.?
