Hi, This is Dr. Tony Phillips calling with an alert about an exploding
comet. It's Wednesday evening, Oct. 24th.
Comet Holmes shocked astronomers today when it increased in brightness by
a factor of almost a million. Yesterday the only way to see the comet
was through a large telescope; tonight you can see it with your naked eye
after sunset in the constellation Perseus. Sky map:
