Hello List and Matthias,

I also thought that was a unique sentence, and I wonder if by "caught" it meant that he was trying to steal the specimen. And if so why they sent him home with a 107 kg piece and not to jail?

Take Care,
Jason

"In 1906, Henry Ward tried to leave the town with the whole mass, but was caught, and did manage to obtain a 107 kg end-piece."

Don't know why but I love this sentence ;-)
