Obviously true, Christian.  And also true in John's note that cubes are
better than slices in some cases due to less kerf waste.  I'd imagine most
(if not everyone) who have commented on the 3D aesthetic values also love
spheres for similar reasons.  No need to expand on that...

Isn't each rectangular slice also a geometric figure ? e.g. a square ?
So this is a cube. It displays wonderful the 3-dimensional arrangement of
the crystals, as
this cube is cut 45° to the axis of the crystals. Wonderful 3D-Display!
