Hello sky gazers,

Pre eclipse sky - 100% clear.
During 1st quarter, half and 3rd quarter phases - Off and on clouds creating an eerie look to the moon appearing and disappearing through the binoculars.
Final 1/8th or so - 100% clear skies, awesome!!!
After Total Eclipse - Mostly cloudy.

I was able to watch it all from a chair on my front porch, not too bad :-)
I snapped a few photos in hi-res fully zoomed mode and will try to click a few during the moon's "rebirth". In fact, the color of orange the moon looks with the last rays of sun beaming upon it reminded me of when you put a light behind an egg to see the inside. I do not think my digital camera will do much good but worth the try. If they are somewhat decent I will post a link to the List. Can't wait to see some of the photos from the pros out there.

Sorry to hear of those who had unfavorable cloud conditions.

Best regards,
Greg

you think that might be from atmospheric conditions?

I just looked, it is pretty cloudy here.

Yeah, where did they come from all of a sudden? It was clear as a bell thirty minutes ago.

That's why we move to Tucson, for the cloudy skies : )
