    Actually it does look very much like DONG UJIMQIN QI a mesosiderite from 
Mongolia, which looks unlike any other meteorite I've seen and much more like 
slag.  Mike Farmer has a few pieces on his web site.   

    I certainly wouldn't bid on it based on a photo, but there are some strange 
looking meteorites (and non-meteorites) out there.
