on this day in meteorite history... Dhofar 950 On November 11, 2003 a gray stone weighing 21.7 g was found in the Dhofar region of Oman. It was Classified as a Lunar feldspathic impact melt breccia. The main mass is held by an anonymous finder. The meteorite may be paired with Dhofar 302, 303, 305, 306, 307, 309, 310, 311, 730, 731 that was found in the same area.
Dhofar 731 On November 11, 2002 a light-grey stone weighing 36 g was found in the Dhofar region of Oman. It was Classified as a Lunar anorthositic impact melt breccia and the main mass is held by an anonymous finder.
