I don't know whether diffraction lenses would form in ice, thus allowing larger 
fragments to survive, nor can I estimate blast cushioning of later entering 
smaller pieces, thus ensuring their survival, but perhaps at least some sure 
impact products may have formed at the bottom of any ice crater.
