John, it is simple, and typical for Moroccan meteorites. Since the first piece was bought, more pieces have come out. In Morocco one person generally never gets or keeps all of a meteorite. They break them up or sell pieces to many different people, so it takes time for the pieces to work their way out. I often see pieces of the same meteorite hundreds of miles away in different Moroccan villages. So for most meteorites from Morocco, we will likely never know the exact total weight. Michael Farmer
