Hi Tracy -
David Keys had been arguing that volcanic eruption caused this for a long time,
but the ice core data had a gap. Since the volcanic eruption was not evidenced
in the new ice core, but comet impact was, his hypothesis was shot shown to be
false, while Mike Baillies hypothesis that the climate collapse was due to
cometary dust loading was shown to be correct. The impacts came as a surprise.
