Hello Steve and List, My two pieces from Philippe & Léa support your statement that Tamdaght has a very grayish matrix. I couldn't detect any chondrules, so H5 or H4-5 might be a good guess.
We know that there are many shattered, mostly small pieces and one of my specimens seems to show "slickensides". If these slickensides are real, this can be seen as evidence of the violent forces upon impact and may explain the sheer number of broken pieces. Best wishes, Bernd ______________________________________________ http://www.meteoritecentral.com Meteorite-list mailing list [email protected] http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list
