1.) While I may be wrong, I have my doubts that there are many serial rapists who subscribe to this list. 2.) While serial rapists are not likely the most logical thinking, well educated of the population, I think even they grasp the concept "my victim may have a gun, therefore my chances are better if I have a gun, too" without having me point it out to them.
