Were meteorites used as tools? Yes.
Are they more valuable as a result? Yes.
I collected most of the mentions of tool use from messages to this list. The
first tool discussed here were keris from SE Asia.
Karen Reiter's "Die Metalle im Alte Orient" (sp?) covered some as well.
And I seem to remember a Canyon Diablo arrowhead.
At the time I saved those messages, but assembling them into a catalogue for
you now is beyond me, sadly.
I'm surprised we have not heard from Berndt on this, but then he has not been
posting much lately.
