Helpful hint.... in the description it states "...which we think is a
meteorite...".
Is it a meteorite? IMHO, highly unlikely. Buyer beware!

Subject: [meteorite-list] Opinions please
Hello list,
I am concerned as to why no picture of the broken end of this specimen is
available and the fact that it's described as non magnetic.

Useless factoid ;
In 1779, July 4 fell on a Sunday. The holiday was celebrated on Monday,
July 5.
