Hi MikeG, Most is in museums, but the largest pieces I know of in private collections are 136 grams and 338 grams.
TM is an interesting pallasite and there isn't really anything that looks like it. Small to tiny round olivine and very translucent honey and lager colored crystals. ---------------------------------------------- Mike Bandli Historic Meteorites www.HistoricMeteorites.com or join us on Facebook: www.facebook.com/meteorite1 IMCA #5765 ----------------------------------------------- -----Original Message----- From: Galactic Stone & Ironworks [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, July 10, 2010 8:59 AM To: Mike Bandli Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: [meteorite-list] AD: Sena (1773), Thiel Mountains, Many Rarities Hi Mike and List, Wow, the olivines are gorgeous on that Thiel Mountains specimen. I also like the overall rounded shapes of the olivines in that piece. Does anyone know what the largest piece of privately-held Thiel Mountains pallasite is?
