Hello, because absolutely all the specimens offered yesterday quickly found new homes, I have updated the webpage, minutes ago... You will see this time the second lithology of the 4.28Ga "faux-amphibolite" : The cummingtonite-rich.
As a paragneiss (metamorphosed volcanic sedimentary rock, with a layered structure), the "faux-amphibolite" shows mineralogical heterogeneity, as describe in the original thesis. The garnet-rich lithology can have some amount of cummingtonite (beige band into the green matrix contains the garnet), but the cummingtonite-rich lithology is totaly garnet free as you will see... But this is the same rock, and the same age... http://www.wwmeteorites.com/Nuvvuagittuq.html Feel free to contact me Fabien Kuntz ______________________________________________ Visit the Archives at http://www.meteoritecentral.com/mailing-list-archives.html Meteorite-list mailing list [email protected] http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list
