IMHO, this is another bogus report, just like the one "confirmed" one from several months ago.
On checking the USGS Real Time Earthquakes plot for Google Earth (http://earthquake.usgs.gov/learn/kml.php) there have been NO earthquakes in Colombia that were magnitude 1 or larger in the past week. An impact event that would cause the production of a crater this size would show up on the earthquake plot. -- Richard Kowalski Full Moon Photography IMCA #1081 --- On Mon, 9/6/10, Tom Randall (KB2SMS) <[email protected]> wrote: > From: Tom Randall (KB2SMS) <[email protected]> > Subject: [meteorite-list] "Colombia confirms 'giant fire ball' a meteorite" > To: "Meteorite List" <[email protected]> > Date: Monday, September 6, 2010, 7:57 AM > > http://www.andina.com.pe/Ingles/Noticia.aspx?id=T6XVq6sEcBo= > > > ---- > http://home.roadrunner.com/~kb2sms/ > > ______________________________________________ > Visit the Archives at > http://www.meteoritecentral.com/mailing-list-archives.html > Meteorite-list mailing list > [email protected] > http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list > ______________________________________________ Visit the Archives at http://www.meteoritecentral.com/mailing-list-archives.html Meteorite-list mailing list [email protected] http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list
