I have updated this post with recent trajectory information provided by Bill Cooke as well as an updated map of the AMS plots.
http://www.amsmeteors.org/2011/04/large-fireball-event-reported-4611/ I did not post the exact coordinates on the website for privacy reasons, but if anyone is serious about hunting meteorites here email me off list and i can forward you the information. It is interesting to compare the track derived visually from the intersection of vectors on the witness reports and the actual 3d track computed mathematically using precise data collected from three all sky cameras. It is also worth noting the mass estimate of the meteoroid -- 90kg, that is 3x the mass estimate of the recent OKC fireball. Much thanks to Bill and his team for collecting, analyzing and sharing this data. On Thu, Apr 7, 2011 at 8:17 AM, Mike Hankey <[email protected]> wrote: > Bob, > > You beat me to the punch.
