And here is the fundamental rub for those of us who don't search out
the meteorites in situ. Many of us are pleased to let someone else do
the leg work of negotiating in unknown lands, where we don't speak the
language or have contacts, go through the hassle of importing the
meteorites (stolen or confiscated are 2 biggies), getting them analyzed
for classification, and preparing them for display. Purchasing from a
Moroccan dealer remotely, where you can't touch the meteorites before
purchase and are buying blind, is much less appealing than paying a
premium to the middleman who does all the other things, and presents us
with an attractive display piece.

I don't speak French or any other good language for North Africa, and
my travel budget is tiny. With this in mind, my .8g polished Itqiy
slice @ $75 is a bargain!

Best!
