I can beat that Michael..............

I worked for many years in the administration of the largest car rental
company and I once got a phone call from a customer complaining that our
reservation center had told him that he needed a passport and an international
drivers license to rent a car in New-Mexico.
Yes, NEW-Mexico!!!

Hi Chris,

On a related note - this really DID happen to
My wife....

Several years back her medical insurance was
"(something) Of Alaska." She was at a Dr.'s office and
When the desk clerk asked for her insurance, she gave
Her her card. The desk clerk responded, "Oh, I'm sorry,
We don't take insurance from foreign countries."

True story, Michael
