Hi Shawn, PC board etchant works ten times faster than nitric, so you need to watch the etch as it progresses and be ready to shut it down the instant you "like what you see". No harm, of course, if it goes too far -- you can always repolish and re-etch until you get the result you want. Just letting you know that the etchant solution acts VERY quickly compared to nitric. --Rob

As for a lacquer finish if you have that on a slice can you use acetone to remove it or sand it off?
