Hello Friends on Lists, Several of your posts caused a chill to run down my spine. The ones that suggested I may have been set up by "grifters" really put my teeth on edge.
Now that I am caused to reflect by your very prescient posts, I see that the "victims" could well have been gypsy like charlatans looking for a fat fish to fry. I wasn't cynical enough in my perception of whom I was dealing with. I bought the story. If the lady was a fraud, she sure had all the accoutrements to pull a scam on the more gullible. Still, my initial phone conversations are designed to eliminate this type of scam. She had to have known she was dealing with someone with more than a casual knowledge of the subject. As to giving out contact information and allowing strangers into my home. Those who are familiar with my background, capabilities and temperament will smile, as to know me is to realize that it is the visitor who is taking the risk coming into my lair. Adam, Greg, a Mike or two, Scott and other meteorighters who have visited and/or stayed overnight with the Countess, myself and our on property armed security guard, Ken, and my ever vigilant Doberman, "Schnapps", know that any attempt to perpetrate a felony will be defeated with considerable prejudice. But, your advise is well taken. Thank you for your concern. Best wishes to all patriotic Americans. On the Fourth of July we fly the flag at Villa Kismet from dawn to dusk accompanied by the playing of "To the Colors" and "Retreat". And we are going to blow the c--- out of some serious fireworks.
